DIRECTOR


Robert Davis - Director B.Sc.

Mr. Davis is a graduate of the University of the West Indies with a degree in Applied Physics, specializing in Electronics, and has received extensive overseas training in Field Engineering, Computer Security, Networking and Telecommunications. He has also received local training in Marketing Management and various management strategies and techniques. He has worked in the Information Technology industry for over twenty-four years with over twenty-one of those years at a senior managerial or consultancy level, with a proven track record of technical and business innovation.

Mr. Davis worked as a Field Engineer and later Technical Manager for Island Microsystems Limited. He later joined the WTG-APTEC Team as their Engineering Manager. He then went on to join the University of the West Indies as the Telecommunications Manager with technical responsibility for the regional Distance Education Centres in fourteen countries throughout the Caribbean. In that role, he was instrumental in the design, evaluation and execution of the upgrading of the University’s analog Distance Education Network to the Caribbean’s first fully digital voice, data and graphics Teleconference network linking twenty-six Teleconference Rooms in sixteen countries.

In 2000, Mr. Davis took up the position of Deputy General Manager and Director of MC Systems Limited, one of the largest information technology companies in Jamaica. Later as General Manager he led the development and launch of various innovations locally and Caribbean wide. At the time of leaving MC Systems in October 2004 to take up an Executive Vice President/Senior Director position with the TSL Group of Companies based in Trinidad, he had already led MC Systems to significant consecutive increases in annual profit. In 2006, he returned to Jamaica and launched TSL Jamaica Limited as its Chief Executive Officer.

In September 2009, Mr. Davis resigned from the TSL Group to assume the position as shareholder and Managing Director of Manley Davis Manley which provides business solutions and software development for large financial institutions.

Mr. Davis’ hobbies are music, scuba diving and photography, and he is the author of two bestselling books: “Jamaica by Air” and “Trinidad and Tobago by Air”.

Martine Fontaine- Senior Vice President, International Business & Director B.A.

Martine is a highly motivated dynamic individual with a passion for meeting or exceeding clients’ needs. Over the last nineteen years she has developed a wealth of broking experience in the local and international markets, particularly so in the London insurance market where she worked for a year. Given her flair for marketing, her intensity of purpose and desire to excel, she has managed client portfolios within the Caribbean and South America and has extended her reach as far as Ireland and Spain.

Martine has lived and studied in the United Kingdom and Canada and graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelors degree in Economics. She is a Director on the boards of Fraser Fontaine & Kong Ltd., Musgrave Court Ltd., Belize Insurance Centre and the Insurance Association of the Caribbean.

Noel Russell - Snr. Vice President Employee Benefits F.L.M.I., A.L.H.C., B.Sc.

Mr. Russell joined the staff of FFK in 1989, having already acquired valuable experience in the field Employee Benefits. He had honed his skills as a Claims Manager at First Life Insurance Company (which was subsequently merged with Sagicor Life), and went on to Head the Premium Ratings Department at the same organization which came naturally to him as a trained teacher of mathematics.

On joining FFK, he embraced the challenge to build a vibrant and dynamic Employee Benefits Department and together with the support of the former President of FFK, Mr. G. Richard Fontaine, they built a formidable team and an Employee Benefits Department which has an enviable track record.

Noel is a consummate broking professional who is highly driven to deliver excellent standards of work and who unwaveringly puts the interests of clients first. He is an exceptionally caring individual who is personally involved in many charitable activities and he is always disposed to extend a lending hand to persons in need.

He holds the international Life and Health Designation in Claims (ALHC), he is a Fellow of the Life management Institute (FMLI), and possesses a Bachelor of Science degree (B.Sc.) in Management Studies. With wide-ranging experience in the Life Insurance Industry, his qualifications are only a mere indication of his sound professional and technical depth.

Karen B. Buchanan, M.B.A., A.C.I.I.
Vice President – Operations

Karen joined the staff of Fraser Fontaine & Kong in April 2010 as Vice President of Operations having worked in the insurance industry for over 30 years. While she honed her skills as an Insurance Practitioner, she gained diverse and valuable experience at the senior management level, particularly in the areas of underwriting, marketing and operations. She has a natural passion for meeting or exceeding clients' needs and for the training and development of staff to deliver high levels of customer service.

She holds a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the Manchester Business School in England, is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) – London, and is a Certified Teacher in the areas of English Language and Linguistics.

 

Millicent Douse, A.C.I.I.
Vice President – Claims

Millicent has received wide training in business studies and management, and is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) and is a Chartered Insurance practitioner. She has spent over 20 years in the industry, developing her knowledge and expertise. As a Vice president – Claims, she is an excellent negotiator, who brings to the position the level of energy required for the vigorous pursuit of settling claims to the satisfaction of the client.

Financial Controller

David has dedicated his adult life to pursuing a career of excellence in the field of accounting, not only in the world of work but also academically. After completing his Bachelor of Science degree in Management Studies at the University of the West Indies in 1990, he went on to specialize and graduated with a M.Sc. in Accounting in 1993. He achieved his ACCA qualification in 1997 and was admitted as a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in 2009. Several years of working in senior financial management positions have produced a consummate professional with experience in the field of human resource management and a flair for customer service.

 

Lenworth (Dale) Wanliss, Dip.
Vice President – Marketing

Dale's insurance experience spans 35 years, and he has been a broker for 33 years. He joined FFK in January 1990 as an Account Executive, and has been instrumental in developing the non-traditional markets such as Aviation Hull & Liability, Events, Marine Hull & Liability and Energy (traditional and renewable). His current responsibilities include Aviation Hull and Aviation Liability, Energy, and Marine (Hull, Liability, Cargo) risks. Dale has extensive experience in placing and handling airside related risks including but not limited to Caribbean airlines. He has been a part time lecturer at the College of Insurance and Professional Studies in Aviation and Marine risks.

Suzanne Green
Customer Service Manager

Suzanne has a highly developed passion for the field of insurance and has dedicated the last twenty years to honing her skills in this area. She is very keen on meeting and surpassing customer needs and expectations and drives the use of information technology in the Customer Service Department to offer a continuously more rapid and improved quality of service to the client. She completed her insurance programme at the College of Insurance and Professional Studies and is currently pursuing the A.C.I.I. programme at the Chartered Insurance Institute in London.

 

Charmaine Russell, B.Sc., M.B.A, Dip.
Human Resource Manager

Miss Charmaine Russell has always been driven by her commitment to work in the fields of administration and human resources which is closely followed by her affinity to work in various environments employing the use of the Spanish language. Her cumulative experience in these areas spans over twenty years, thirteen of which have been at Fraser Fontaine and Kong Ltd., the other seven being between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and National Security.

Throughout the same period, she has applied her Spanish language skills in the areas of teaching, and translating at various local and international conferences. Her Spanish language training includes studies at the National Autonomous University of Mexico and the University of the West Indies. Miss Russell also holds an M.B.A. degree from Nova University, a first degree in Social Sciences, Language & Literature from the University of the West Indies and a Diploma in Human Resource Management.

Broking/Underwriting Manager

Andrea holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.), with a double major in English and Psychology, is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) and a Chartered Insurance Practitioner. She has spent over 20 years in the industry, gaining vast experience in both insurance broking and underwriting. With her knowledge and expertise in both insurance companies and broking houses, she extends her reach through the Jamaica Society of Insurance Professionals and Technicians (JSIPT).

Carela Graham, Dip.
Account Executive

Carela joined the Fraser Fontaine & Kong Limited team in 2010 and has over 21 years insurance broking experience in managing Commercial and Corporate Accounts. Ms. Graham holds a Diploma in Insurance from the College of Insurance and Professional Studies and a Certificate in Fire Insurance.

She continually seeks to ensure that high standards and quality service are delivered to the clients at all times.

Assistant Marketing Manager

Clive joined Fraser Fontaine & Kong as Assistant Marketing Manager on February 14, 2005. He has a wealth of experience in Insurance Broking with responsibility for the management of Corporate and Commercial Portfolios island-wide. Mr. Hills is a very knowledgeable, highly motivated member of staff who always seeks to ensure that the delivery of service to the customer is at all times of the highest standard.

Clive holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of the West Indies and a Masters in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University.

Senior Account Executive

Karen joined the team of Fraser Fontaine & Kong Ltd. in 2009 with over 22 years experience in the insurance industry; 14 in underwriting (personal/ corporate and commercial lines) and 9 in insurance broking.

She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree (Bsc.) in Management Studies (Hons.) and Diplomas in Marketing, Supervisory Management and Insurance. Miss Williams is a dynamic insurance professional who is very committed to meeting the clients' needs.

 

Herman Wade, B.Sc., Dip.
Account Executive

Herman began his career in the Insurance Industry in 1986 when he worked as an Underwriter for four years with a reputable Insurance Company. He left the Insurance Industry to pursue a career in Sales & Marketing that spanned over thirteen (13) years at several levels including Sales Manager. Mr. Wade joined FFK in November 2003 in the Production Department as an Account Executive and brings to the team a unique approach to account building and customer satisfaction. Mr. Wade holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration from the University College of the Caribbean, and has an Associate Degree in chemistry, the Jamaica Insurance Diploma and a Diploma in Marketing.

Mr. Ball, who holds a Bachelors degree in the Social Sciences, entered the Life Insurance Industry fourteen (14) years ago, quickly making his mark in the employee benefits field. Marketing Manager

Paul joined the staff of FFK in 1998. Strongly emphasizing the importance of marketing, he believes that superior service to our clients should be our top priority. He has over twenty years collectively in marketing insurance products, having spent a number of years in various positions the field of Ordinary Life Insurance. Since 1994 however, his career has been dedicated to Employee Benefits at the Consultancy/Senior Management Level. His qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics and a Masters of Science in Administration.

He entered the Life Insurance Industry fourteen (14) years ago, quickly making his mark in the employee benefits field. He has brought to the position valuable experience and knowledge in the areas of administration, industrial relation and training.

Yvonne has given over fifteen years service to the insurance industry at the Ordinary Life level but primarily in Employee Benefits. Educated and trained both in the U.K. and Jamaica, she holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Library Studies from the Leeds Polytechnic in England. Miss Graydon brings to her present position a wealth of knowledge and experience honed within large multinational insurance companies and local brokerage houses.

Veronica holds a diploma in Health Management and a certificate in Marketing. She brings to the Employee Benefits Department a wealth of knowledge and experience, having over twenty-four years in the Health Insurance Industry. Twenty-one of those years were spent with Blue Cross of Jamaica specializing in Client Service Management, Training, Product Development, Marketing and Sales Management. Her focus is to consistently find new innovative ways to enhance quality client service ensuring that the client is satisfied the first time and all the time.

Junior Account Executive

Miss Stacy-Ann Russell has a passionate belief in meeting and/or exceeding customers' needs, accompanied by a highly developed flair for marketing. She entered the field of insurance nine years ago which captured her attention and determined her career path. These nine years have been well spent as she has developed solid experience in the area of Employee Benefits Insurance.

As a very people-oriented individual, Miss Russell first acquired a Diploma in Human Resource Management and is currently pursuing a B.Sc. in Marketing and International Business. She is also certified by the Financial Services Commission in the Ordinary Long Term and Sickness and Health classes of insurance.

 

Delroy Stephenson, Dip.
Employee Benefits Consultant

Delroy has been in the life and health insurance business for over 14 years. He has spent many years in the Ordinary Life Industry serving as Sales Representative, Branch Supervisor and Senior Executive Agent with major insurance companies locally. He managed the Mandeville branch of a prominent Group Health Insurance Company for 3 ½ years and during his tenure the branch experienced significant growth in business. Mr. Stephenson has a Diploma in Marketing and has successfully completed numerous local and overseas courses and is a well-rounded individual.

He is a knowledgeable, trustworthy and dependable person who is known to give his clients service of the highest order. His love and commitment to his customers led him to FFK in July 2004 where he continues to provide them with service of the highest quality, geared towards maximizing customer satisfaction.
